Pay 'em back

Kevin Parrott posted this on his blog a while back, and I agree. I want a way to strike back at the Clooneys and Hyndes of this world without dropping to their level... and this seems a good way. bq. To Whom It May Concern (If you have a specific Movie or Record Executive in mind, use that): bq. I'm writing to inform you of my choice to no longer support (insert Celebrity Name here) in light of their recent statements/actions regarding the US Government and our Military Service. I strongly disagree with the tone in which the statements/actions were delivered/carried out; and was in fact deeply offended by those actions/statements. I found them offensive enough to lead me toward the following decision: Instead of purchasing their latest CD (or ticket to their latest film), I have taken that money and made a donation IN THEIR NAME to (insert name of Pro Charity Organization here). I have also chosen to sell all CD's/DVD's/VHS videos I own and donate the money raised to (organization here) in their name as well. I will continue to do this until such time as (Celebrity Name) chooses to refrain from publicly degrading and insulting our country as well as our military personnel. Everyone has the right to express their own opinion in America, and this is my way of expressing a rebuttal to (Celebrity Name) statements/actions. bq. Sincerely, Your Name Here Read it all.
