The Exhibit comes together
...slowly. Watching this come together is like watching sausage being made- you like the end result, but the process is- messy.
Below is a collection of pictures of some of the artifacts. Some, like the body casts, I won't post. They're too unnerving and I feel it would be disrespectful to do so.
First, more frescoes-

A reproduction of a bed found in Pompeii- Giuseppe says the original is "Magnifico!"

A statue of Bacchus (look how they did the eyes, he looks alive)

A funerary statue of a noble Pompeiian

Bas-reliefs from Herculaneum

A table from Pompeii

These are details and a full-length look at Pompeiian garden decorations, called "hermes"

Possibly funerary statuary

Venus (Aphrodite). This statue is already causing a fuss amongst some of the citizenry of Mobile ("Looky, Ma, nekkid wimmen!!" LOL)

Unknown, possibly funerary

Part of the sausage-making process. This is Hallie, a creative good ol' gal, and she's a craftswoman of the highest order.

Bacchus says, "Come back, there's more to come!"

Did I mention that I love my job?
