Islam
I've been thinking about this for a while, and not lightly either. There needs to be a change in how we perceive Muslims and Mohammedism- we have been treating them like a religion we must respect (as we would any other) rather than as an ideology we either agree with or contend with. At this juncture it seems to be the latter. Islam brooks no other belief; the only "peace" you get from Islam is through submission. The question is- are we willing to submit? Or are we willing to fight for our own dearly-won civilization? This, truly, is the argument of our age.
I am a Fifties baby- 1952 to be exact. I grew up with the Red Menace, the bomb drills where we would go into the hallways of Belmont Elementary and cower against the wall; been there, done that. Eventually after 40 years of perseverance we defeated Communism. Some of those who had the disease worst are now our closest friends. Is it so much a leap to perceive IslamoFascism in the same light? They, too, want to end our way of life.
Now, after the events of 7/7, we seem to have a clear choice. Will the Anglosphere and it's shared traditions survive, or will we, with our oh-so-PC lifestyle allow ourselves to be buried under a set of tenets come up with 1500 years ago? Do we wish to give up our technology, our comfort as a capitalist society, our freedom to placate murderous thugs who stone and rape their women?
This is the hard question we must answer. You know, it's important to ME- I have three children whose very future is being determined RIGHT NOW... and I know where I stand. How many stand with me?
